Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year Awards
March 21st, 2007; 5:30pm - 8:00pm
Location: Chesapeake Conference Center
Speaker: Come join us to celebrate entrepreneurship and recognize the Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year! Our 8th annual award promises to be an exciting event for all. The National Association of Women Business Owners Southeastern Virginia Chapter annually recognizes women who own their own businesses and are examples of the entrepreneurial spirit of ingenuity, resourcefulness, responsiveness, community service and development. The Selection Criteria for the Award is as follows: Ingenuity in making her business successful, growth in sales and staff, Innovation of products and service, Response to adversity and ability to overcome obstacles, Community service and philanthropy, Has a substantiated history as an established business for at least five years. This event is sponsored by Wachovia and the Chesapeake Conference Center.

NAWBO SEVA Business Matchmaker 2007
April 19th, 2007; 7:00am - 4:00pm
Location: Chesapeake Conference Center
Speaker: Are you interested in growing your business? Are you a small, minority, or woman business owner looking to partner with major corporations and with local, state, and federal agencies? If the answer is yes, then you MUST be at our business matchmaker. The National Association of Women Business Owners Southeast Virginia (NAWBO SEVA) Chapter's Matchmaking Event will allow you to present to numerous major companies and various levels of government agencies that you have wanted to do business with. These organizations will advise of the products and services they are interested in purchasing. If your company provides those goods and services, you will have an appointment to meet with them and show them why they should partner with your company. This ideal event will provide the opportunity to connect directly with the decision makers. As a small business, we all know that dealing with decision makers takes the frustration out of doing business and saves both time and money. 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. Registration & Networking, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Matchmaking (lunch 12 – 1:15 p.m.), Lunch is included.
