Q: What do you like to do when you're not working?
A: What I like to do best is spend time with my family, including my husband Larry, my son Nolan, daughter-in-law April and their daughter, Sierra, and my son David (3rd year at UVA).

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007; 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Members and Corporate Partners bring your spouse or significant other to network at the August meeting. This event will give you and your partner an opportunity to strengthen your connections with other members, corporate sponsors and their spouses and partners in a relaxed setting.
You'll have the entire meeting to learn more about other businesses in your network and explore opportunities, referrals and potential partnerships and alliances. Dinner will be served and of course, bring your business cards and marketing materials.
The August meeting is open to Members, Corporate Partners and their Guests only.
PLEASE NOTE: You must pre-register before 11:00 AM the day of the event to participate. No registrations or payments at the door. For early registration discounts, register by 3:00 PM the Friday prior to each event.

Camp CEO: Members Partner with Local Girl Scouts
Several NAWBO SEVA members and corporate partners will be helping local Girl Scouts develop their entrepreneurial muscles this month. At Camp CEO, Girl Scouts ages 15 to 18 will create business plans as they learn from local women business owners.
Margaret Hockeborn, of Premier Designs Jewelry is helping to organize the event and is acting as the NAWBO SEVA Girl Scout partner liaison.

Judith Forsyth - Bending Tree Tai Chi Kung
On July 15, 2007 Bending Tree Tai Chi certified ten new Tai Chi for Health instructors in a program in concert with the VA State Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation. The new instructors will enter a six-month apprentice program prior to being awarded an Associate Instructor position with Bending Tree. Sue Cunningham - Senior Resources Group, Inc.
Sue Cunningham, Certified Senior Advisor and President of Senior Resources Group, Inc. will be speaking in Northern Virginia at two Sun Rise Assisted Living Communities in October. Sue will be addressing the topic of "The Sandwich Generation." She is the author of the book, Unwrapping the Sandwich Generation...life vignettes about seniors and their adult boomer children as they face aging issues. All those in attendance will receive a complimentary copy of her book, courtesy of Sun Rise Assisted Living.
Michelle Larkin - Titanium Productions, Inc
Titanium Productions was featured in Inside Business. They were hired by The Virginia Port Authority for their annual convention. The article also noted that Titanium landed a contract earlier this year with VHDA.
Beverly Inman-Ebel former President of NAWBO National, has been appointed to a three-year term on the National Women's Business Council. Inman-Ebel will represent the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). Her company, 26-year old TLC, provides keynote speakers, seminars, coaching, meeting facilitation, and original materials to help its clients achieve permanent and positive change in their communication skills.
